Hilton McElveen Mr. Hilton McElveen age 90, of Scranton died April 09, 2011 at Carolina's Hospital in Florence. Graveside services will be held at 4 o'clock PM Tuesday April 12, 2011 at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery 1840 New Zion Road in Lake City, directed by FLOYD FUNERAL HOME. Family and Friends are welcome at the funeral home from 2 - 3 PM Tuesday. Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Charlie E. McElveen and Margaret Buddin McElveen. He was a retired painter, and of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ivene Bryant McElveen, sisters, Frances M. Goodman and Ruth McElveen, brothers, Marvin McElveen and Earl McElveen. Surviving are a step-daughter, Bonnie Lee Hickman of Turbeville, a step-son, Dexter ( Nancy)Bryant of Turbeville, Nieces and Nephews, Betty M. (Billy)Cockerill , Clarice Staley, and Wayne McElveen all of Sumter, Stanley McElveen of Calabash, NC and Cynthia M. Hamilton of Willow Springs, N.C.. numerous special great-nieces and nephews, special great-niece, Lynn (Shubert) Cockfield of Lake City. Four step-grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.
