Houston Ray Hammond Pamplico Mr. Houston Ray Hammond, age 63, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018 at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. Funeral services will be held 3pm Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Bible Temple Church Cemetery in Coward. The family will received friends from 6-8pm Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at the funeral home. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Houston Matthew Hammond and Corrine Matthews Hammond. He was a Supervisor with North American Construction Company. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Frances Elaine Hammond; a grandson, Carson Hammond; and a sister, Linda McGee. Surviving are two daughters, Frances Evonne Welch (Jason) of Turbeville, and Maggie Hammond Kessler (Clint) of Coward; three grandchildren, Joseph Welch, Kaitlyn Fuller, and Thomas Fuller.
