Howard Lefrance Evans, age 71, died May 29, 2019, at his home after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, June 1, 2019, at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel in Olanta, SC with burial at New Town Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM, Friday, May 31, 2019, at the funeral home. Born in Florence County, he was the son of the late CoBert Evans and Earline McKenzie Evans. He was a retired farmer, and he attended Coward Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond Evans. He is survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Evans Odom of Effingham, and Pamela Earline Evans Shipley of Timmonsville; four sons, Howard D. (Candy) Evans of Effingham, Donnie (Kim) Gaskins of Timmonsville, Johnny (Kelly) Evans of Coward, Chris Harrell of Effingham; fourteen grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
