Idella W. Matthews Turbeville Idella Welch Matthews age 84, passed away April 6, 2018 at her home after an illness. Services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, April 8, 2018 at Cades Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Floyd Funeral Home in Olanta. Born in Clarendon County she was a daughter of the late Jay Hugh Welch and Viola Welch Welch. Mrs. Idella was a seamstress, the wife of a pastor, and was a member of Maranatha Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Bennie C. Matthews; her parents; a sister, Loudell Bennett; a brother, Calvin Welch. She is survived by two daughters, Vivian Matthews Parrish (Eddie) of St. Matthews, Laura Matthews Moore (Kevin) of Turbeville; six sisters, Dorthy Nell Bennett of Turbeville, Ethel Dell Calcutt of Florida, Violeta Yarborough of Effingham, Connie Feagin, Rounett McElveen, & Diane Beard all of Turbeville; three brothers, Clifton Welch and C. G. Welch both of Turbeville and A. J. Welch of Scranton; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
