Ina Mae Mims

TURBEVILLE – Ina Mae McKenzie Mims, 76, entered into eternal rest on Monday, April 11, 2022 at McLeod Hospice House. Born February 16, 1946, she was a daughter of the late James Byrd McKenzie and the late Bell Welch McKenzie. She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Welch Green of Turbeville; three sisters, Mary Chavis (Walter) of Georgetown, Daisy Driggers (Sammie) and Judy M. Welch (Thomas) all of Turbeville; seven grandchildren, Jamie Burrows, T. J. Burrows, Carl Burrows, Breanna Green, Tony McKenzie, Jr., Doc McKenzie, and Treavor McKenzie; and a number of great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Scarlett Michelle McKenzie, five brothers, Harold McKenzie, J.D. McKenzie, Joe McKenzie, Jimmy McKenzie, and David McKenzie; one sister, Carolyn Joyce Applebee. A funeral service will be held 3pm on Saturday, April 16, 2022, in the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 2 – 3 pm on Saturday prior to the service in the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Blake Driggers, Treavor McKenzie, T.J. Burrows, Carl Burrows, Ray Welch, and M.D. Floyd. Memorials are requested to be made to McLeod Hospice House, 1203 E. Cheves Street, Florence, SC 29506.
