OLANTA – Jack E. Coker, 88 husband of Bobbie Jean Coker, entered into his eternal rest on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at his residence. Born May 16, 1934, in the Hebron Community of Williamsburg, County he was a son of the late Sherman Coker and the late Ethel Avant Coker. He was the owner and operator of Jack’s Welding and Radiator Service in Olanta. Brother Jack shared the Gospel wherever he went and pastored at the following churches; Beulah Free Will Baptist; was the founding pastor of Trinity Full Gospel Church (now known as New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church); he reorganized the First Pentecostal Baptist Church of Effingham; and filled in at the Olanta Pentecostal Holiness Church. Brother Jack’s favorite ministry was sitting around the coffee pot and sharing the good news at Blakes Country Store. He is survived by his wife of 64 years; three children, Mary Alice Feagin (Herman) of Sumter, Michael Coker (Shannon) of Florence, and Kenneth Coker (Sarah) of Olanta; eight grandchildren, Clayton Tyler Freeman, Tracy Lynn Hughes, Thomas Feagin, Katlyn Elizabeth Coker, Anna Grace Coker, Renotta Stewart, Damien Chandler, and Shannon Shotwell; ten great grandchildren, Kelsey Brunson, Ethan Hughes, Kaia Hatcher, Kaylee Hatcher, Ethan Tuck, Eli Hughes, Raleigh Hughes, Jack Brunson, Savannah Feagin, and Kaylee Deppa; one sister, Virginia Edwards of Darlington; three brothers, Dexter Coker and Steve Coker (Crystal) all of Darlington, and Rex Coker of TN; affectionate sister, Eleanor Lee and daughter, Edna Matthews; and a number of nieces and nephews A funeral service will be held 2pm on Saturday, August 13, 2022, in the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Lake City Memorial Park. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service (1 – 2pm) at the funeral home. Floyd Funeral Home, 136 E.
