Jack C. Mims Timmonsville Mr. Jack C. Mims, age 79, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be 3pm Friday, November 25, 2011 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Bethany Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be one hour prior to funeral service at the funeral home. Born in Florence county, he was a son of the late Ernest Cornelius Mims and Ella Mae Vause Mims. Mr. Mims was a retired welder from Socar, Inc. and was a member of Bethany Free Will Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Mims. A brother, Gene Mims. A sister, Edna Morris. Surviving are two daughters, Jackie (Talbert) Springs and Wren Wise both of Timmonsville. Two sons, Rondal (Lynn) Mims of Effingham and Ernie Mims of Timmonsville. Eight grandchildren, Rondal "RJ" Mims, Jr., Candi Springs, Timothy Mims, Dale Wise, Patrick Wise, Laura Mims, Shane Springs and William Wise. One great grandchild, Adin Wise.
