Jacob Moses Creech

TURBEVILLE- Rev. Jacob M. (Jake) Creech, 83, entered his heavenly home on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at Lake Marion Nursing Facility. Born in Johnson County NC, he was the son of the late Luther D. Creech and the late Effie Lillian Creech. He was a member of Horse Branch FWB Church and was a retired Free Will Baptist minister having served churches in Georgia, North Carolina, Mississippi, and South Carolina. Other than his pastoral work, he was fortunate to go on several mission trips to India, one to Africa and one to Mexico. He was a graduate of Free Will Baptist Bible College, Nashville Tenn. Surviving are two sons, John Mark Creech (Karen) of Turbeville, SC and Stephen David Creech (Amy) of Huntsville, Alabama; five grandchildren, Landon Creech (Mary Buddin), Leslie Creech Barrineau (Kipp) and Logan Creech all of Turbeville, Bankston Creech and Mary Maddox Creech of Huntsville, Alabama; one great granddaughter, Kimberly Nexsen Barinneau of Turbeville; one Brother, Rev, L.D. Creech Jr. of Clinton, NC; one Brother-in-law, James W. Beasley (Mary) of Turbeville, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Betty Beasley Creech on October 17, 2021; 3 brothers- Tommy L. Creech, Rev, R. Ronald Creech and C. Glenn Creech; 4 sisters- Sarah Lee Talton, Evelyn Johnson, Annice Newman and Louise Lamb. Funeral Services will be held 3 P.M. on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church, Turbeville, SC with graveside services to follow. A visitation will be held at the church one hour prior the service and other times at the home of Mark Creech. CDC guidelines are encouraged. The service will be live steamed on YouTube under Horse Branch Church. In lieu of flowers, we suggest that you make a special gift to “Friends of India” c/o Rev.
