James "Doug" Mckenzie

James "Doug" McKenzie, age 70, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019, at McLeod Hospital, Florence after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held at 12 O'clock, Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Born in Florence County, he was the son of the late Wiley W. McKenzie and Lottie L. Beard McKenzie. He was a retired farmer and attended Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Barrineau, Letha Coker; one brother, Durant McKenzie. He is survived by his wife Elsie McKenzie of Lake City; one daughter April (Billy) Osborne of New Zion; one son Jamie (Tracie) McKenzie of Cades; three sisters, Christine Spring, Marie Eaddy, Vera Coker, all of Lake City; two brothers, Dean (Dessie) McKenzie, Randy (Lynn) McKenzie, of Lake City; three grandchildren, Gracey Osborne, Emma Osborne, and Garrett Bailey.
