James Edward Phillips

New Zion – James Edward “Jamie” Phillips age 46, died Sunday, April 16, 2023 at McLeod Health Clarendon in Manning, South Carolina after an illness. Born in Sumter County he was the son of Linda Powell Phillips and the late Charlie Wade Phillips, He attended New Hope Christian Church of New Zion. He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Horace & Elise Powell; paternal grandparents, Albert & Kathleen Phillips; a special uncle, Raymond E. Stone. He is survived by his mother; a special aunt, Deborah P. Stone of Olanta; a special cousin, Rachel Stone of Olanta; a special Aunt Gwen Atkinson of New Zion. Graveside services will be at 11 AM Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at New Hope Christian Church Cemetery with visitation immediately after the service. Officiating will be Rev. Chad Culick.
