Jeanette Spring Barfield Scranton Jeanette Spring Barfield, age 64 died Saturday, May 19, 2012 at a Florence hospital after an illness. A service will be held at 3pm, Monday, May 21, 2012 at Pleasant Grove Church of God of Prophecy on Old #4 Hwy, Scranton, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held Sunday, (tonight) from 5-7pm at the church. Born in Florence County, Mrs. Barfield was the wife of Rev. Raymond Barfield and a daughter of the late Dessie Spring and Florrie Spring. She was a retired supervisor at Fiber Industries, a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Church of God of Prophecy. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Brady and Lizzie Ridgle, a nephew Jimmy L. Spring, II. Surviving are two daughters, Sandy Miles (Jody Tedder) of Scranton, Susan Barfield of Scranton; one sister, Peggy Johnson of Olanta; one brother, Jimmy (Clydia) Spring of Scranton; three grandchildren Traci (Trey) Miles, Kasey Miles, Michael Barfield; two great-grandchildren, Logan Miles and Peyton Miles; many nieces and nephews; a special friend, Mary Conyers.
