John Elias "Johnny" Koopman, Jr. Turbeville John Elias "Johnny" Koopman, Jr., age 57, died July 28, 2014 in Greenville, S. C. Funeral services will be held at 11 o'clock AM Friday, August 1, 2014 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel, visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Born in Florence County, he was a son of Rachel Flowers Yates and the late John Elias Koopman, Sr. He was a member of Pine Grove United Methodist Church and was a retired carpenter. He was preceded in death by his father and his step-father, Larry Yates. Surviving besides his mother of Florence, are a son, John E. Koopman, III of Florence, two sisters, Christy (Bob) Coker and Lisa Spigner both of Turbeville, a brother, Pete Yates of Turbeville, nephews, Brett (Jenni) Coker, Patrick (Kacie) Coker, Dyson Coker, Trey Coker, and Graham Yates, a niece, Kelley Yates.
