John L. Langley, Jr. Olanta John Louis Langley, Jr. age 73, died December 8, 2017 at his residence after an illness. A memorial service will be held at 2 o'clock PM Wednesday December 13, 2017 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel in Olanta. Born in Florence County he was the son of the late John Louis Langley, Sr. and Virginia Gowdy Langley. He was a Civil Engineer having worked at The Savannah River Site, and retired from General Electric in Florence, he served in the United States Marines, and was a member of the Lake City United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim Langley and Joe Langley. He is survived by his wife, Lora Lee Chandler Langley of the home; two daughters, Susan Birgerson of Sumter, Nikki Hutchins of Canada; one step-daughter, Linda Watford of Coward; two sons, Jay Langley of Virginia, Donnie Langley of Arizona; one sister, Tamra Crane of Hendersonville, NC; one brother, Bobby Langley of Cross, SC; one Grandchild and one Great-grandchild.
