John Earl Lee Olanta John Earl Lee age 67, died February 27, 2016 after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday March 1, at Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery directed by Floyd Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Born in Florence County, he was a son of the late Early Lee and Nina Moore Lee. He was co-owner and president of Riverside Electric Motors that was established in 1986, was founder and former president of South Carolina Bluegrass Association, a board member of the Lynches River-Camp Branch Watershed, an active advocate for the Florence County 1% tax referendum, a member of the Lynches River Council, a avid fisherman who loved to fish on the pier at the beach, and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a special aunt, Carrie Mae DeFee. Surviving are his wife, Dianne G. Lee of Olanta, a daughter, Mandy Lee (Kevin) McLaughlin of Florence, three step-sons, Chris (Emily) Gibbs and Kyle (Bobbie) Gibbs both of Timmonsville, Kevin Gibbs of Olanta, a sister, Myrtis (Julian) Phillips of Florence. Business associate and dear friend, Perry (Wanda) Smith of Lake City. 2 grandchildren and 6 step-grandchildren.
