Judy Daniels Baird

February 27, 1950 — March 3, 2025

Judy Daniels Baird, a beloved wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 3rd, 2025, at the age of 75. Born on Monday, February 27th, 1950 in Lake City, SC, a daughter of the late John Thomas Daniels and the late Virginia Hanna Daniels. Judy brought warmth and love to everyone she encountered throughout her life's journey. Judy is survived and missed by her husband Clyde of 56 years, and her daughters; Alyce, Cindy and Caroline. Forever cherished and remembered by her precious grandchildren; Dylan, Anna, Carson, Smith, Mallie and Emma A devoted homemaker, Judy dedicated her life to caring for her family and creating a nurturing and welcoming home. Her kindness and generosity were evident in every facet of her life, especially in how she cherished her family. She took an active role in the lives of her girls and her grandchildren, who affectionately called her Granna. Her family was arguably the most important achievement in life. She was a master of sewing and her talent was immaculate. From Easter and Prom dresses for her girls to Halloween costumes, dresses and John Johns for her Grands. Whatever her girls dreamed up, she could make it happen, and better than they imagined! She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She loved to shop, and shoes were her favorite. Her pound cake, biscuits, and her nutty puffs were the family favorites. She created beautiful birthday cakes for her children and grandchildren. Judy leaves behind a legacy of love through her three daughters: Alyce Baird Atkinson of Turbeville, Cindy Baird Willard (Lynn) of Mt. Pleasant, and Caroline Baird Porter (Henry) of Florence. She was the adored grandmother of six grandchildren: Dylan Atkinson, Anna Willard, Carson Willard, Smith Porter, Mallie Porter, and Emma Porter. Judy is also survived by her brother, Jerry Daniels (Colleen) of Beaufort, and her sister, Susan Bane of Indian Land. Judy was preceded in death by her loving parents and two brothers, John Daniels and Jimmy Daniels. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Judy's life at a memorial service, which will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the Turbeville Southern Methodist Church. Reverend Patrick Goodwin will officiate the service, offering comfort and words of remembrance. In addition, a visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at Floyd Funeral Home. Family and friends are also welcome to gather at the home of Alyce Atkinson, located at 1147 Gamble Street, Turbeville, at other times. On behalf of the family, we wish to express our sincere gratitude to the Hospice caregivers; Alicia Flowers, Tanya Smith and Karen Yates; for their kindness, support and care. A special thank you to a sweet family friend Michelle Baker whose tender loving care and guidance helped get us through such a difficult time. Judy's memory will be carried forward by the many lives she touched. Her kindness, love, and unwavering commitment to family will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
