Julian Houston Beard

BARRINEAU - Julian Houston Beard, 73, husband of Roxie Mae Floyd Beard, entered his eternal rest on Friday, January 28, 2022. Born, November 27, 1948, in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Woodrow Edward Beard and the late Elise Louise Miles Beard. He was a member of Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a retired foreman with Utilities Construction Company. He is survived by his wife of 52 years; one daughter, Joby Gray (Preston) of Lake City; two grandchildren, Matthew Legrand Gray and Roxanne Gray Eaddy (Hunter) all of Lake City; one great-grandson, Kallen Bennett Gray; two brothers, W.E. Beard (Janet) of Effingham; Lloyd Beard of Georgetown; three sisters, Corrine Welch, Willaree Welch and Beretha Lou Coker (J.A. Coker) all of Turbeville. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bryan Beard; and three brothers, Von Beard, Billy Beard, and Don Beard. A funeral service will be held 11am on Monday, January 31, 2022, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 P.M. on Sunday, January 30, 2022, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church and at other times at the home, 4318 St. James Road, Lake City. The family request that memorials be made to Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, 3709 St. James Road, Lake City, SC 29560.
