It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kyle Kirby Green, Jr., who departed this life on Friday, October 25, 2024, at the age of 25. Born on Thursday, December 10, 1998 in Florence, South Carolina, Kirby was a beloved resident of New Zion, SC, who touched many lives with his vibrant spirit and generous heart. Kirby is survived by his loving family, including his mother and stepfather, Chasity and Kenny Lambert; his father and stepmother, Kyle Kirby and Susan Green, Sr.; and his cherished sons, Kyle Kirby Green, III and Ashton Gunner Hobbs of Manning. He also leaves behind his brother, Evan Green of New Zion; his sister, Madison (Ethan) Simmons of Lynchburg; his grandfathers, Rusty Clark Evans of New Zion and Wayne F. Green, Sr. of Turbeville; and his nephews, Waylon Simmons and Wylder Simmons. Kirby was adored by his aunt and uncles Lance & Jackie Green, Ferrell Green, Renee Evans; his cousins, Olivia Richardson, Justin Godwin, Kinley Anderson, Mac Green; and his very special cousin, Tripp Green. He will also be fondly remembered by many step-aunts, step-uncles, and step-cousins. Preceded in death by his grandmothers, Cathy Evans and Linda Green; step-grandparents, John Roy and Allie Mae Harrington; one aunt, Brandi Feagin; and two dear friends, Staley McElveen and Jackson Floyd, Kirby is now reunited with those he lost too soon. A proud alumnus of East Clarendon High School's Class of 2017, Kirby went on to pursue his passion as an auto mechanic, finding his professional home at Baker Transportation in Lake City, SC. Kirby found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. Above all, he loved his momma dearly. He cherished time spent with his sons, and delighted in the treasures of the great outdoors, enjoying many peaceful moments hunting and fishing. A funeral will take place 2 PM on Sunday, November 3, 2024, at McKenzie Tabernacle Church with Rev. Tony Porter officiating. Burial will follow in the church's cemetery. A visitation will take place from 6 – 8 PM on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at Floyd Funeral Home, Olanta, SC. To honor Kirby's memory, pallbearers will include Mason Floyd, Tripp Green, Zachery Feagin, Noah Feagin, Max Smith, and Daulton Parker. The family expresses their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support from Kirby's friends and acquaintances. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Floyd Funeral Home, Inc. 136 E. Main Street, Olanta, SC (843)396-4470. Kyle Kirby Green, Jr. will be profoundly missed but never forgotten. His spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew him.
