Lila Baird Wingard

Turbeville - Lila Baird Wingard, age 93, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House after an extended illness. A graveside service will be held 11am Friday, October 5, 2018 at Turbeville Southern Methodist Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends tonight (Thursday, October 4, 2018) from 5pm - 8pm at the home of Keith and Cheryl Wingard, 1469 David Chalmers Road, Turbeville, S.C. Born in Turbeville, she was a daughter of the late Raleigh Lorraine Baird and Ethel Corbett Baird. She was a graduate of Turbeville High School, retired from Holiday Inn where she was a General Manager for 30 years, and was a member of Tubeville Southern Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack Heyward Wingard; a daughter, Patti Wingard Osborne; five brothers, Clyde, Herman, Mark, Cecil, and Will Baird. Surviving are two sons, Randy Wingard (Jackie), and Keith Wingard (Cheryl) both of Turbeville; a son-in-law, Randy Osborne of Turbeville;seven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; a special caregiver, Linda Lee.
