Linda Mcgee Ard

OLANTA – Linda Lee McGee Ard, 78, widow of J. E. Ard, Sr., died Monday, December 19, 2022, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee. Born June 3, 1944 in Florence, she was a daughter of the late Ezra Willie McGee and the late Margaret Parnell McGee. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was retired from the Citizens Bank as a Customer Service Representative/Branch Manager. She is survived by one son, J. E. Ard, Jr. of Olanta; and special cousins, Judy Spivey of Florence, Richard Parnell of Atlanta, GA, Shannon Spivey of Florence, Brock & Carolyn Spivey of Houston, TX, Susan Parnell Rae of Summerville, and Mrs. Henry Morris of Sparrow Swamp She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. A funeral service will be held 2pm on Thursday, December 22, 2022, in the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home with Rev. Mike McMillian and Rev. James Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Olanta Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will take place from 1pm – 2pm on Thursday at Floyd Funeral home and at other times at the residence 122, E. Moore Street, Olanta, SC.
