OLANTA – Linda Kaye Weaver McElveen, 69, wife of Jerry W. McElveen, entered her eternal rest on Friday, August 25, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born, November 21, 1953, in Olanta, SC, she was a daughter of the late William Charlie Weaver and the late Mary Frances Singletary Weaver. She was a member of the Olanta Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, taught the Ladies Sunday School Class, and was a member of the Women’s Missionary Union. Kaye sang many solos for church and for events in the community. She was a faithful, loving wife, step mother, grandmother and friend. Kaye is survived by her husband of 32 years; a step-son, Johnny (Heather) Keels McElveen of Olanta; five grandchildren, Ashley (Benjamin) Lynch, Jay McElveen, Jamie McElveen, John Tyler McElveen, and Molly McElveen; two great-grandchildren, Kate Lynch and Caroline Lynch; sisters and brothers, Peggy (Larry) Clyatt, Pete (Peggy) Weaver, Wanda (Willie) Munson, Mike (Debbie) Weaver, Patsy (Wayne) Joyner, and Carla (Kenny) Strickland; a sister-in-law, Dana Weaver; two special nieces, Katlin Strickland Jones and Caroline Weaver Green; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Frankie & Frank Wilson; a brother, Andy Weaver; and two step-sons, Jerry (Jay) Waddell McElveen, Jr., and James (Jamie) Thompson McElveen. A private, family service will be held. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jay McElveen, Jamie McElveen, John Tyler McElveen, Benjamin Lynch, Bradley Joyner, Landon Joyner, and Joshua Strickland. The family invites those who would like to visit with the family to Jerry & Kaye’s house, 651 Park Avenue, Olanta, SC. Anyone who would like go by Floyd Funeral Home to view Kaye may do so on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 1pm to 4pm. The family request that memorials be made to Olanta Baptist Church, P.O.
