Linda Turner Sharpe

Linda T. Sharpe Turbeville Mrs. Linda T. Sharpe, age 65, died Thursday, July 26, 2012 at McLeod Hospice House, in Florence after an illness. Services will be held at 10am, Saturday, July 28, 2012 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9 pm Friday, July 27, 2012 at the funeral home. Born in Greenwood County, she was a daughter of Mrs. Faye Collins Turner and the late Ray Beaman Turner. She was retired from Clarendon and East Clarendon Insurance Agencies, and former member of Turbeville Rescue Squad where she attained the rank of Colonel. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Carroll Ridlehoover. Surviving besides her mother of Ninety Six, are her husband of 47 years, William Billy Sharpe of Turbeville, a daughter, Susan (Joel) Welch of Turbeville, three sisters, Vera Ridlehoover and Lois (Ricky) Chastain both of Ninety Six, Doris (Tom) Emasie of Lexington, one brother Ray B. (Louise) Turner, Jr. of Ninety Six, two grandchildren, Jordan Marie Welch and Jada Lin Welch, and she was a "Mama" to many others.
