Linnie Matthews Olanta- Linnie Aline Matthews age 73, died December 31, 2012 at her home after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock PM Wednesday January 2, 2013 at Olanta Church Of God Of Prophecy with burial in the church cemetery directed by Floyd Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the home, 210 East Moore Street in Olanta Tuesday evening. Born in Statesville, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Harvey Franklin Miles and Georgie Mae Williams Miles. She was a homemaker and member of Olanta Church Of God Of Prophecy. Linnie was the beloved babysitter and "grandmother" to numerous children in the area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira Kelly Matthews, brothers; Walter Franklin Miles, James Robert Miles, William Mitchell Miles, and George Riley Miles, a granddaughter; Billie Joann Matthews, a great-grandson; Kevin Moore, Jr. She is survived by three daughters; Doris Marie Dare of Moncks Corner, Mary Lynn Wray of Olanta, and Teresa Faye Huntley of Cross, two sons; Kelly Lavon Matthews of Florence and Thaddeus Lancer Matthews of Turbeville, six sisters; Laura Mae Miles of Cades, Liddie Murlene Hayes of Columbia, Lola Nell Morris of Olanta, Brenda Gail Green of Lake City, Kathy Elaine Coker and Katie Ann Miles both of Olanta, a brother; Albert Lavon Miles of Timmonsville. 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
