Loran L. Welch

Turbeville - Loran Laverne Welch age 69, passed away peacefully Sunday August 9, 2015 after an illness. A funeral service will be held at 7 pm Tuesday August 11, 2015 with visitation two hours prior to the service at Floyd Funeral Home. Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Lucius Columbus Welch and Rosa Bell Morris Welch. He was a member of Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. He is preceded in death by two sons, Tracy and James Welch; one daughter , Gail Lynn Welch, and two brothers Harold and Edward. He is preceded in death by two sons, Tracy Welch and James Welch. A daughter, Gail Lynn Welch. Two brothers, Harold Welch and Edward Welch. He is survived by his wife, Mary Poston Welch of Turbeville; two sons, Timothy (Joni) Welch, Lucius "LC" Welch both of Turbeville; three sisters, Rosa Lee (Harry L.) Driggers of Turbeville, Bertha Coker and Bobbie Jean Cason both of Sumter; two brothers, Lonnie (Karen) Welch of Florence, Daniel Welch of Sumter; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
