Lorena Watts Nesbitt, age 87, wife of the late Carlyle Nesbitt, died July 20, 2011 at 10840 Douglas Swamp Road near Lynchburg. A service will be held at 10 am Saturday, July 23 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6-8 Friday (tonight) at the funeral home. Mrs. Nesbitt was the daughter of the late Edmund B. Watts and Annie Belle Robinson Watts. She was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church of Lynchburg. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Robert Watts, James Watts, Othell Watts, E. B. Watts, Jr., and Franklin Watts. She is survived by two daughters, Joan (Howard) Goldman of Lynchburg and Sandra (Joey) Meggs of Indialantic, Florida. Two sons, Roger (Johnnie Faye) Nesbitt of Lynchburg and David (Myra) Nesbitt of Turbeville. Six sisters, Mildred Green and Gladys (Bruce) Buddin of Turbeville, Elma Prescott of Sumter, Libby (J. H.) Moore of Olanta, Sara (Loy) Hendrix of Toney, Alabama and Patsy (Bill) Aburn of Sumter. Two brothers, John Milton Watts of Laurens and Wyman Watts of Sumter. Sixteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren. The family would like to thank her special caregiver, Helen McGill, Amedisys Long Term Care , and Dr. Priscilla Welch and her staff.
