Lorrie Ann Sims

EFFINGHAM – Lorrie A. Sims, 63, died on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at MUSC Medical Center, Charleston. Born on February 1, 1960, in Sumter, SC she was a daughter of the late Harold Bunice Sims and the late Sylvia Irene McIntosh Sims. She is survived by one son, Hunter (Hailey) Lloyd Dickerson of Effingham; three grandchildren, Saylor Ryker Dickerson, Riverlyn Grace Dickerson, and Maddox Dozier Dickerson; two brothers, Todd Sims of Manning, and Donald Sims of Kingstree; one sister, Becky McElveen of Turbeville; four adopted children, Barbara Dickerson, Matthew Dickerson, Michael Dickerson and Hartman Dickerson; and three cousins, Lee Grainger, Harvey Lee (Samantha) Grainger, and Roxanne (Jessie) Sellers. She was preceded in death by her parents, one grandchild, Joseph Dakota Stacy; one brother, William Scotty Sims, and two cousins, Harvey Mason Grainger and Barbara Grainger. A Funeral Service 3pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 in the chapel of Floyd Funeral Home with burial in the Turbeville Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Harvey Grainger, Michael Dickerson, Holden Sims, Logan McElveen, Hartman Dickerson, Lee Grainger, and Matthew Dickerson A Visitation will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023 from 5 – 7 PM at Floyd Funeral Home and at other times at 5511 Clearbrook Road, Effingham, SC.
