Louise Mcelveen Floyd

BARRINEAU – Elizabeth Louise McElveen Wallace Floyd, 86, entered into her eternal rest on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family. Born, November 6, 1935, in Williamsburg County, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Hannibal McElveen and the late Alma Jane Floyd McElveen Feagin. She was a member of the Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church, as well as the Adult Sunday School Class and the Women’s Ministry of the church. She was retired from Clarendon School District Three where she served in many capacities. She is survived by three sons, Bill (Mary) Wallace of Turbeville, Johnny (Cheryl) Wallace of Greenville, and Rev. Bobby (Laura) Floyd of Lake City; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Gordon (Deloris) McElveen and Jerry (Sandra) McElveen all of New Zion; and a special niece, Lois Ann Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Ivey Wallace; her second husband, Bobby Ray Floyd; one sister, Colee Lee; and eight brothers, Wiley McElveen, Elwood McElveen, Hubert McElveen, Allen Floyd, James McElveen, Kenneth McElveen, Everett McElveen, and Jack McElveen. A funeral service will be held 5pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, at Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church with Rev. Dr. Bobby Floyd, Rev. Arthur McElveen, Rev. Michael Cantey and Rev. Jack McElveen officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Wallace, Dylan Coker, Tommy Wallace, Trent Floyd, Russell Floyd, and Mark Daniels. Visitation will be held from 3:30pm – 5pm on Tuesday, July 26, 2022, prior to the service in the church sanctuary. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church Missions Department, 3709 St. James Road, Lake City, SC 29560.
