Lucille Barfield

Lucille Mckenzie Barfield Kingstree Lucille M. Barfield, age 92, died Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Carolinas Hospital System in Florence after an illness. A service will be held at 3pm Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial at Old Piney Grove Church Cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held from 6-8 at the funeral home, (tonight) January 16, 2012. She was the daughter of the late Jasper McKenzie and Geneva Driggers McKenzie. She worked in the manufacturing business as a seamstress, and was a member of Floyd Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nelson Parker and her second husband James Barfield; two sisters, Jaunita Fitch and Elsie Hancock; three brothers, William B. McKenzie, McLeod McKenzie and Arnette McKenzie. She is survived by one daughter, Maedine Gause of Kingstree; one son, Douglas (Nancy) Parker of Summerville; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
