L. D. Lee, Jr. Timmonsville Lura Dunn "L. D." Lee, Jr., age 81, passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at his residence after an illness. A service will be held at 2pm Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Matthews Cemetery near Coward, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held Friday (tonight) December 6, 2013 from 6-8pm at the funeral home. Born in Florence County he was a son of the late Lura Dunn Lee, Sr. and Travis Stanley Lee. He was a retired carpenter, a member of the Men's Fellowship, a former Deacon, a church musician and a member of Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church. He is preceded in death by his wives, Dorothy Locklair Lee and Frances Marion Lee; two sisters, Lynette McClam, Audrey Mae Knotts; one brother, Lavell "Buddy" Lee. He is survived by five daughters, Janet (W. E.) Beard of Effingham, Iris (James) Kirby and Pam (Jerry) Kelley of Timmonsville; Norma Townsend of Johnsonville, Jodie (Bobby) Jacobs of Kingstree; one son, Dan (Becky) Lee of Timmonsville; one sister, Valeria Revell of Effingham; three brothers, Dexter McGhan Lee, Orell Lee of Timmonsville, Joe Lee of Socastee; thirteen grandchildren, eight great- grandchildren.
