Lydia Margaret Brogden Miles

Scranton, S.C. Margaret Brogden Miles, age 95, died on Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at The Parc at Sharon Amity Senior Living Facility. Born November 6, 1922 in Oakland, Ca., she was the daughter of Charles H. Brogden and Lydia F. Mincher. She was formerly married to Sam Mack Miles of Scranton, S.C. Surviving are her daughters, Irene M. Thomas (George R. Thomas) of Charlotte, N.C., and Margaret "Peggy" M. Watts (Jack R. Watts) of Fayetteville, N.C, a sister-in-law, Leeila M. Barkowitz, six grandchildren; Anissa Watts Cotton, Joshua D. Morgan, Dana Thomas Redding, Amy R. Watts, Benjamin G. Thomas, and Dare E. Thomas, and 18 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Miles Morgan; two sons, Sam Daniel Miles, and Cliffton "Skippy" Miles; a brother, Kennedy Miles; a half-sister, Irene Brogden; five half-brothers, Douglas G. Froerer, Richard Brogden, Robert Brogden, Charles Brogden, and Wesley Brogden. She is survived by two daughters, Irene Miles Thomas of Charlotte, and Margaret Miles Watts of Fayetteville; a sister-in-law, Leeila M. Borkowitz; six grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren. A Memorial service will be held 12 noon on Saturday, November 3rd, 2018 at Scranton United Methodist Church, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta.
