Marion Esther Massey

OLANTA – Marion Esther Massey, 88, entered her eternal rest on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born April 22, 1935 in Philadelphia, PA, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Theodore Thompson and the late Emma Mae Drunkemiller. In her early years she was a faithful member of the Salvation Army Pioneer Corps of Pennsylvania. In her later years, after moving to Olanta, she attended Bethel Baptist Church. She is survived by one son James Edward (Lisa) Massey of New Castle, DE; two daughters Esther Lynette Smits of Darby, PA and Mae Marie Pearson of Olanta; and eight grandchildren, Jonathan Parker, Georgie Smits, Marion Pearson, Kimmy (Jim) Smith, Dawn Smits, Kendall Massey, Tina Massey, and Hunter Holden; and a number of great grandchildren.
