Mary Lillie Floyd Ard Florence Mary Lillie Floyd Ard, age 82, died Monday, November 8, 2010 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Funeral services will be 2pm, Friday, November 12, 2010 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel in Olanta with burial in Thomas Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8pm Thursday, November 11, 2010 at the funeral home. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late James J. Floyd and Celia Dorrell Floyd. Mrs. Ard retired from the Kingstree Public School System where she worked in the cafeteria, she previously attended the Church of God in Kingstree. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Ard. Four sisters, Maybelle Coker, Beatrice Odom, Roberta Wilkes, and Verlene Floyd. Four brothers, Moscoe Floyd, Ted Floyd, Charles Floyd and Paul Floyd. Surviving are three sons; Randolph (Darlene) Ard of Florence, Jack Ard, Jr. of Kingstree and Tom L. (Dale) Ard of Florence. Nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
