Mary Ethel Barrineau

Turbeville - Mary Ethel Barrineau, age 83, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at National Healthcare in Sumter, after an illness. Funeral services will be 3pm Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends from 1-3pm prior to the funeral service at the church. Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Simon Matthews and Maude Lee Matthews. She retired from Skyline Mfg. in Turbeville, and then became a loving caregiver to many children in the community; and was a member of Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hazel B. Barrineau; an infant daughter, Mary Elizabeth Barrineau; a sister, Betty Jean Floyd; two brothers, Legrand "Sonny Boy" Matthews and Jerry Matthews. Surviving are a daughter, Tammy Reardon of Turbeville; two grandsons, Scott (Chasidy) Reardon and Jeff Reardon both of Turbeville; two great-grandchildren, Abbygail and Wynston Reardon.
