Mary Nell Daniels Beard, a beloved resident of the Barrineau Community, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at the age of 92. Born on Sunday, August 21, 1932, in Florence County, South Carolina she was a daughter of the late Clarence Ingram Daniels, Sr. and the late Lizzie Eugenia Feagin Daniels, Mary Nell lived a life marked by devotion to her family, faith, and community. A lifelong homemaker, Mary Nell was known for her warmth, wisdom, and generous spirit. Her home was a place of comfort and joy, where family and friends often gathered to enjoy her hospitality and love. Mary Nell was blessed with a loving family. She is survived by her son, Derry (Jan W.) Beard of Barrineau; her daughter, Charlene Parker of Lake City; and her cherished grandchildren, Bob Beard, Cory (Grayson) Beard, and Danielle (Chad) Culick; her great-grandchildren, Daylee Culick, Dayton (Krislyn) Culick, Banks Beard, Zetta Beard, and Adley Beard; and her step great-grandchildren, Ryker Rhodes and Towns Rhodes. Mary Nell is also survived by her two brothers, C.I. Daniels, Jr. and Leverne Daniels; and four sisters, Doris Mishoe, Lawanna McKenzie, Norma McAlister, and Barbara (Billy) Matthews. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters-in-law, Janice Beard, Queen (Carol) Springs, and Faye Lee, as well as her brother-in-law, Ray (Rhonda) Beard. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Levi Beard, her parents, Clarence Ingram and Lizzie Eugenia Feagin Daniels, her brother, Charles Daniels, her sister, Shirley Coker, her son-in-law, Danny Parker, and her grandchild, Staley Parker. A graveside funeral service will be held 2:00PM on Friday, April 18, 2025 at the Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery with Rev. Michael Cantey & Rev. Chad Culick officiating. Mary Nell's faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she was a devoted member of the Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church.
