A graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, September 3, 2011 at Bethany Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery, outside of Olanta on US Hwy 301, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the graveside. Born in Florence, South Carolina, Mrs. Cole was the daughter of the late Rube Mack Vause and Mary Jane Locklair Vause. She was a beautician for over 40 years. She enjoyed visiting with friends, cooking for family, fishing, smoking and watching the Atlanta Braves. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray C. Cole, twelve sisters and brothers. She is survived by one daughter, Elizabeth Jane (Tony)Taylor of West Columbia. One son, James B. (Risha) Cole of West Columbia . One sister, Willie Mae Goff of West Columbia .
