Mary M. "Maggie" Lee

Scranton Mrs. Mary M. "Maggie" Lee, age 73, passed away Wednesday, August 2, 2017 after a brief illness. A funeral service will be held 3pm, Saturday, August 5, 2017 at Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will greet friends from 1-3pm prior to the funeral service at the church. Born in Florence County, she was a daughter of the late Wiley Cleveland Lee and Mattie Mae Lynch Lee. She retired from General Electric,and attended Bethel Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Louetta Strickland Sunday School Class. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Iva Mae Lee, and two brothers, Woodrow Lee and Leo Lee. She is survived by her husband, Derrell O. Lee of the home, a daughter, Kaye Lee Cox of Florence, three sisters, Nettie Bell Coker, Hazel Baxley, and Gertrude Lee all of Scranton, four brothers, George Lee of Effingham, Eulas Lee of Columbus, Georgia, W.C. Lee, Jr. and Lamar Lee both of Scranton, two grandchildren, Sarah Anne Cox and Emilee Cox both of Florence, and a special friend, Lois Thomas.
