Lake City Mertie L. Osborne, age 64, of the Hogeye community passed away Monday, May 29, 2017 at her home after an illness. A funeral service will be held at 3pm Wednesday, May 31st, 2017 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Strickland-Feagin Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 1-3pm prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Born in Charleston County, she was a daughter of the late Rushton Linwood Lee and Mellie Vendell Goins Lee. She was a member of Matthews Tabernacle, and was a Homemaker. She was preceded in death by a great grandson, Noah Brown, and a brother, Joey Lee. Surviving are two daughters; Mertie Maxine Baker (Ray) of Olanta, and Mellie Brown (Michael) of Summerville. A son, Travis Parker (Sonya Feagin) of Lake City. Six sisters, Sandra Mims of Kingstree, Dot Patrick, Carol Parrott, Georgia Dell Parrott, Laurie Ann Lee, and Renea Lee all of Lake City, three brothers, Michael Lee of Lake City, Billy Lee of Florence, and Allen Lee of Myrtle Beach, ten grandchildren, Johmmy Parker, Christy Miles, Chasity Miles, Jessica 'Mertie' Creason, Jamie Brown, Michael Brown, Josh Parker, Chance O'Neal, Jacob Parker, and Hailey Parker, and twelve great grandchildren, Gracie Parker, Emily Parker, Elizabeth Parker, Dillon Nettles, Audrey Nettles, Cassie Creason, Charlie Creason, Rose Creason, Waylon Harris, Taylor Harris, and Maddie Brown.
