Michael Anthony Evans, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11th, 2025, just shy of his 69th birthday. Born on Tuesday, January 17th, 1956, Michael spent his entire life enriching the lives of those around him with kindness, strength, and dedication. A proud resident of Lynchburg, South Carolina, Michael made his home at 2850 Rush Street, where he shared a life full of love and laughter with his family. For many years, he dedicated his professional life to his role as a construction project manager at Jones and McIntosh, where his impeccable work ethic and leadership inspired colleagues and clients alike. Michael is survived by his cherished wife of 36 years, Belva A. Evans, whose partnership he treasured every day. Together, they raised a loving daughter, Amanda (Kent) McElveen, who will continue to carry forward his legacy. His family was his greatest joy, and he was a proud grandfather to two wonderful grandchildren; Whitney and Jordan McElveen of Turbeville; two sisters, Mary Ann (Steve) Hannah of Hannah and Judy (Kevin) Blankenship of Murrells Inlet; one brother, Randy (Ludi) Evans of Anderson. Michael's kindness and generosity extended to his broader family, nieces; Audrey Joyner, Katie Defee, Missy Williams, Reagan Worth, and nephew ; RE Evans, all of whom held a special place in his heart. Michael was preceded in death by his loving parents, Rembert Elvin (RE) and Jennie Lou Hill Evans, who instilled in him the values of integrity and perseverance that defined his character throughout his life. He completed his education through the 12th grade and applied his knowledge and skills with distinction in his professional endeavors. Graveside services will be held at Friendship Cemetery on Tuesday, January 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM, located on Pleasant Grove Road in Lynchburg, SC 29080. Michael's family invites all who knew him to join in celebrating a life well-lived, remembering the good times shared, and the indelible impact he made on everyone he knew. Arrangements for the service are being handled by Floyd Funeral Home, Inc., whose compassionate care is helping the family through this difficult time. Michael Anthony Evans will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege to know him. His legacy of love and dedication will continue to guide and inspire those he leaves behind. May he rest in eternal peace.
