Mildred Madeliene Robinson Turbeville Mildred Madeliene Robinson, age 92, passed away Wednesday, September 2, 2015 after an illness. Funeral services will be Friday, September 4, 2015 at 11am at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church with burial in church cemetery, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. The family will greet friends after the service in the sanctuary of the church. Born on September 30, 1922 near Lake City in the Camp Branch community, she was one of eleven children of S. Clyde and Eunice Knight Nettles. She graduated from Scranton High School in 1939 and later married John McNeil Robinson in 1942 where they resided in the Turbeville community the rest of their lives. Mrs. Robinson joined Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church in 1942 and attended there until her death. She retired from Campbell Soup Company and was a member of Marie Hanna Circle and Mission in Study Circle at the church. She was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, John McNeil Robinson, a daughter, Belynda Jane Robinson, three sisters, Sybil Miles, Blanch Robinson, and June Ard, four brothers, Archie Nettles, Jake Nettles, Leo Nettles, and Robert Nettles.. Surviving are two children, Beryl McNeil Robinson of Turbeville, and Raeanne Jill Robinson of Turbeville. One sister, Ruth Hardin of Taylors, SC, two brothers, Donald Nettles of Charleston, and Davis Nettles of San Diego, CA. Six grandchildren, Mia Robinson Green (Tim), Ryker L. Robinson, Monica Robinson Vaigneur (Will), Courtney Robinson Floyd (David), Brooks Duane Robinson (Melissa), Brianne Robinson Newman (Thomas), nineteen great grandchildren, William Thomas Newman, III, Robinson Dallas Newman, Lara Dayne Newman, Tanner Mike Newman, Madelyn Brooke Robinson, John Henry Robinson, Brandi Floyd Lauckner (Chris), Hannah Jane Pappas, Dan Kosta Pappas, Jr., Haley Marianne Floyd, William Benjamin Vaigneur, V, Chase McNeil Vaigneur, Cannon Marie Robinson, Nicole Yvonne Robinson, Danielle Leigh Robinson, Austin Green, Brandon Green, Alyssa Green, and Julia Green. Three great great grandchildren, Linley Kate Lauckner, Adly Marie Whitaker, and Knox Ellington Lauckner.
