OLANTA - Mr. Bonnie O’Neal DuBose, age 87, died Monday, March 22, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence, after an extended illness. Born December 25, 1933, in Turbeville he was a son of the late Milburn David DuBose and the late Ada Kathleen Floyd DuBose. He was the owner/operator of Olanta Floor Covering, and attended Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Julia Ellen Powers Stone DuBose; a sister, Winnie Floyd Buddin; a brother, Ray DuBose; and a sister-in-law Vanona DuBose. He is survived by two daughters, Susanne Thigpen (ONeal), and Ginger Ard (Brian) both of Olanta; two sons, Earl Stone (Deborah) and Ryan DuBose (Anna) both of Olanta; seven grandchildren, Rachel Stone, David Ard (Rhonda) of Olanta, Cameron Ard (Camille) of Socastee, Liana Pace (Craig) of Kentucky, Troy Thigpen (Angie), Brandon Thigpen (LeEtte) of Olanta, and Ava Jones (Steve) of Charleston; twelve great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Betty Jean Hickson of Olanta; and a special friend, Dixie Floyd. A graveside service will be held at 11 AM, Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at New Town Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Floyd officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
