Mr. Charles "Chuck" Stafford Welch

OLANTA – Charles “Chuck” Stafford Welch, 50, son of John & Juanita Welch, died Saturday, July 17, 2021, at McLeod Hospice House. Born September 2, 1970, in Sumter he was a son of Juanita Brown Welch and the late John William Welch. He was a retired welder and attended Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was a veteran of the US Navy and SC National Guard. He is survived by his mother and step father Chesley Thigpen; one brother, Rodney Dean Welch of Lake City; one sister, Renea Welch Carter of Turbeville; two nephews, Johnny Lamar Welch, Jr. and Joshua Hunter Welch; and two nieces, Claudia Elizabeth Coulter and Erin Danielle Pfeiffer. He was preceded in death by his father and one brother, Johnny Lamar Welch. A funeral service will be held 3:00 PM on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, in the Pine Dale Pentecostal Holiness Church sanctuary with the Rev. Billy Miles and Rev. Tommy Atkinson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral in the sanctuary and at other times at his mother’s residence 1491 Pope Street, Turbeville, SC.
