Mr. Dennis Vernon Jans

Lynchburg Mr. Dennis Vernon Jans, age 70, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2018 at McLeod Hospice House after a long battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held 4pm, Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Trinity United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior to memorial service, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Born in St. Cloud, Minnesota he was a son of the late Vernon Ferdinand Jans and Helen Alma Emma Heuer Jans. He was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, a Mason and member of Fidelity Masonic Lodge #394, a Veteran of the US Air Force, and a member of the VFW #140. Surviving are his wife, Gayle Keels Jans of the home; a daughter, Stacey (Donnie) Anderson of Lynchburg; a son, Brian (Kathryne) Jans of Lynchburg; two sisters, Jean (Dave) Carlson of Elk River, MN, and Joan (Larry) Holverson of Alexandria, MN; and five grandchildren.
