Turbeville - Jimmie “Pop” Andrew Barrineau, age 70, husband of Jean Morris Barrineau, died Saturday, May 22, 2021, at McLeod Regional Medical Center of the Pee Dee. Born October 17, 1950, in Turbeville, he was a son of the late William Pet Barrineau and the late Annie Mae Floyd Barrineau. He was a member of Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church where he was known as “the candy man”. He was a retired auto mechanic. “Pop” was a true family man, it didn’t matter if you were his biological child or not, he loved and adopted everyone into his family. He is survived by his wife of forty seven years; two daughters, Jennie McKenzie (Donnie Ray) and Lauren Alexander (Jamie) all of Turbeville; three grandchildren, Chloe McKenzie, Adelyn “Addie” McKenzie and his special angel, Charlotte James Alexander whom he waited to see before he took his heavenly flight; and three brothers, William P. Barrineau, Jr. (Connie) of Sumter, Mitchell J. Barrineau (Sandra) and Michael Christopher Barrineau (Tracy) both of Turbeville. He was preceded in death by one brother, Dwain Barrineau. A graveside service will be held 4pm on Monday, May 24, 2021, at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Brian Sargent officiating. The family will receive guest following the service and other times at the residence, 2843 Sandhill Road, Turbeville. COVID-19 are precautions of face masks and social distancing are required at the visitation and service. Floyd Funeral Home, 136 E. Main Street, Olanta, is in charge of the arrangements.
