Mr. Jerry Dean Owens

TIMMONSVILLE – Jerry Dean Owens, 65, husband of Lisa Ann Welch Owens, died Thursday, April 8, 2021, at his residence. Born February 9, 1956, in Florence, he was a son of the late Randolph Owens and the late Edith Gertrude Broach Owens. He worked with Superior Machine Company of South Carolina and for the last 18 years he worked with Florence County as a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by his wife of 33 years; two sons, Chris Owens of Timmonsville and Jason Owens (Vania) of Pamplico; one daughter, Rebekkah Isgett (Robert) of Pamplico; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one brother, Dexter Owens of Effingham; one sister, Wanda Evans of Effingham; and two feline friends, Lucky and Max. A funeral service will be held 2pm on Sunday, April 11, 2021, at Unity Christian Fellowship Church with Rev. Lloyd Ackerman and Rev. Terry McClam officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Owens, Jason Owens, Terry Lee, Eddie Green, Donnie Welch, and Bubbie Evans. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church and at other times at 516 Lynch Road, Coward. The family request that memorials be made to Unity Christian Fellowship, 3652 Olanta Highway, Timmonsville, SC 29161.
