Mr. Jimmy Christmas

Jimmy Lavern Christmas New Zion Jimmy Lavern Christmas, age 82, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at his daughter's home after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 3pm Friday, July 27, 2018 at Floyd Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at McElveen Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the funeral service at the funeral home. Born in Williamsburg County, he was a son of the late Sidney W. Christmas and Zelma F. Thigpen Christmas. He was a retired Supervisor from Ayers Manufactory, and attended McKenzie Tabernacle. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Wade Christmas; a brother, Durant Christmas. Surviving are a daughter, Keri Ann (Jay) McElveen of New Zion; two sisters, Jackie McElveen of New Zion, Bobbie (Ray) Hutto of Manning; one brother, R. L. (Jenny) Christmas of Orangeburg; former wife, Sandra Dennis of New Zion; four grandchildren, Megan McElveen, Sydney (Travis) Floyd, Jake McElveen, and Maggie McElveen; two great-grandchildren, Annabelle Floyd, and Wade Floyd; a close personal friend, Elizabeth Driggers.
