Mr. John Russell Floyd

Russ Floyd Turbeville John Russell Floyd, age 59, died December 27, 2020 in MUSC Marion Hospital after an illness. Graveside services will be held on Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 2:00 pm at The Turbeville Southern Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will speak with friends following the service at the cemetery. Russ was born in Sumter County. He was a son of Elro Floyd and Jane Green Floyd. Russ was a member of The Turbeville Southern Methodist Church and former Food Service Manager at the Compass Restaurant in Turbeville for 40 years. Russ loved to cook cakes and pies, and deliver those and his home grown vegetables to his family and friends. Surviving are his sister Janet Floyd Miller (Michael) of Marion: a nephew Jackson Miller of Marion. Memorials can be made to The Turbeville Southern Methodist Church (1642 Main Street, or P.O. Box 233 Turbeville, SC 29162) or to Ebenezer Southern Methodist Church, WMS Missions (1048 Dudley Road, Marion, SC 29571) in Marion.
