Mr. Laverne Charles Stone

Laverne C. Stone Lake City Laverne Charles "Jack" Stone, age 86, died Saturday, March 23, 2019, at his home after an extended illness. Graveside services, directed by Floyd Funeral Home, will be held at 2 PM Tuesday, March 26, 2019, at Frye Cemetery near Lake City with full Military Honors. Visitation will be held March 25, 2019, at the funeral home from 6 -8 PM. Born in Florence County he was a son of the late Eldridge Stone and Essie McKnight Stone. He served in The United States Army, with two tours in Vietnam, and The South Carolina National Guard, and was a Bronze Star Recipient. He attended McKenzie Tabernacle. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Buster Stone and Alton Stone; one sister, Connie Stone. He is survived by his wife Willahmenia Bryant Stone of the home; two sons, Charles Wayne (Tammy) Stone and Terry Stone both of Lake City; three grandchildren, Bryant Stone, Nate Stone, Elizabeth Stone; two great-grandchildren, Alex Stone and Huntley Stone.
