Mr. Melvin Duval Ardis Jr

BARRINEAU – Melvin Duval Ardis, Jr. 63, died Saturday, January 23, 2021, at MUSC Charleston. Born August 21, 1957, in Sumter, He was a son of the late Melvin Duval Ardis, Sr. and the late Mary Louise Wilkerson Floyd. He is survived by two daughters, Casey Ann Ardis (Meredith) of Lake City and Tasha Jewell of Seneca; two sons, Michael Shipley (Brittany) of Scranton and Paul Shipley of Timmonsville; seven grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and his best friend Isaac T. “Skip” Skipper III. A visitation will be held at Floyd Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, from 5 to 7 p.m. COVID-19 precautions of face masks and social distancing are required at the visitation.
