Mr. Olin Franklin Morris

New Zion Mr. Olin Franklin Morris, age 79, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 after an illness. A memorial service will be held 3pm Sunday, January 14, 2018 at New Zion United Methodist Church. Born in Clarendon County, he was a son of the late Harrison McCollum Morris and Janie Marie Barker Morris. He retired after 27 years from the S.C. Department of Agriculture as a Weight and Scales Inspector, and was a member of New Zion United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Claudia Belle Mosley, Wanna Boykin Elliott, and Doris Hyde Wheeler; two brothers, Judge James "Mack" Morris, and Harry Lee Morris; a half brother, Edward Morris. Surviving are his wife, Ann Hardy Morris of the home; a daughter, Julie White Weidner of Florence; a son, Olin Franklin Morris, Jr. of New Zion; two sisters, Linda Morris Ross (David) of Dalzell, and Dianne Morris Stephens (Benjamin) of Oregon; two sisters-in-law, Lola Morris of Myrtle Beach, and Martha Morris of Beaufort; two brothers, Don Harvey Morris (Betty) of Lexington, and Roger William Morris (Della) of Charleston; two grandchildren, Juliann and Abbygail Weidner of Florence.
