Mr. William "Billy" Sharpe

Turbeville William Lewis "Billy" Sharpe, age 75, passed away October 14, 2018 at his home after an extended illness. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM Tuesday at Floyd Funeral Home, with a graveside service at 4 O'clock PM at Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Turbeville. Born in Greenwood, South Carolina he was a son of the late Hugh Clarence Sharpe and Macy Edwards Sharpe. Mr. Billy was the owner of Sharpe Grading, Inc., and served in The Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Turner Sharpe, and a sister Gail Wilson. Surviving are a daughter, Susan Sharpe (Joel) Welch of Turbeville; three sisters, Nina Sharpe (Carroll) Caughman of Batesburg, Mary (Grady) Rowe of Ward, Nancy (Don) Cook of Chappells; one brother, Wayne Sharpe of Chappells; two grandchildren, Jordan Marie and Jada Lin Welch; special friends, Ronnie Buddin of Turbeville; employees of Becky's Restaurant, waitresses at The Chat-N-Chew Restaurant; and a special canine companion, "MiMi".
