Cades Mrs. Alice Faye Nexsen, age 65, passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 at McLeod Hospice House. A funeral service will be held at 2pm, Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial in Lake City Memorial Park, directed by Floyd Funeral Home of Olanta. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm tonight (Monday, May 29, 2017) at the funeral home. Born in Williamsburg County, she was daughter of the late Harry Edward Graham, Sr. and Alice Gertrude Woodberry Graham. She attended Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was retired from Walmart as a clerk. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher Welch, and a sister, Irene Avant. Surviving are her husband, Samuel M. Nexsen, Jr. of Cades, two daughters, Tammy (Ray) McKenzie of Kingstree, and Michelle (Dempsey) Sharpe of Florence, a step-daughter, Wendy (James) McBrayer of Lake City, three sisters, Lisa Graham of Georgetown, Lee Mims of Georgetown, and Karen Graham of Kingstree, two brothers, Harry (Sharon) Graham, Jr. and Furman (Vonda) Graham both of Hemmingway. Nine grandchildren; Shawn Welch of Johnsonville, Tommy Welch of Johnsonville, Allie Sharpe of Florence, Brantley Sharpe of Florence, Cameron McBrayer of Lake City, Kenzie McBrayer of Lake City, Ella McBrayer of Lake City, William (Ashley) McKenzie of Kingstree, and Kayla (Brandon) Hannah of Kingstree. Four great-grandchildren; Hailey and Karson Welch both of Andrews, Reel Welch of Andrews, and Baylor Hannah of Kingstree. Life-long family friends, Rocky and Viney McKenzie and Nancy Heyward.
